Making highlights & annotations is the best way to get the most out of the time you spend reading. Whether you are reading to learn, for work or for pleasure highlights and annotations are a must. We recently made several updates for Web that are sure to improve your overall reading experience.
New UI
A refreshed highlight view that allows you to get the most of the highlights and annotations you make while reading. There are also two new sort options:
- Date – Sort highlights based on the date they were made.
- Progress – Sort highlights based on where they are in the book. Keeping them organized to chapters and sub chapters.
Custom Colors
Highlights can now be completely customized with your favorite colors. You are no longer restricted to the fixed 3-5 colors that are typically standard in apps. Make highlight on your terms!
Area/Image Based Highlights (PDF Only)
You can now make area or image based highlights when reading your PDFs. Gone are the days when you are restricted to selecting just text!
You can make area/image based highlights by right clicking anywhere in the PDF reader and resizing the window to the area you would like to highlight. This feature will be particularly useful to knowledge workers, researchers, students and anyone reading PDFs that contain not only text.
Tags
Tags can now be added to individual highlights. This allows you to read and organize various tidbits in the way that is best for you. Tags can then be leveraged to group related highlights made across several different books about the same topic and more.
