CXC® and BookFusion Partner to Provide Digital Access to Learning Resources

During these extraordinary times, the importance of instant, effortless access to educational content for learners and instructors has become a high priority. Today, BookFusion Limited, the premier eBook platform in the Caribbean, announces its partnership with the Caribbean Examinations Council®, the Caribbean’s premier provider of globally competitive curriculum development services, examinations, certifications and education services.

This partnership brings together CXC’s learning platform which offers examination content, textbooks and educational support with a robust technological infrastructure and interactive technology, to provide students, teachers, ministries of education and other educational institutions with an open, accessible and seamless way to learn and access content anywhere, anytime, whether at home or on-the-go.

The CXC® Learning Hub

BookFusion will have a book store component on the CXC® Learning Hub, a revolutionary e-platform tailor-made for the Caribbean education market. Both companies have partnered to provide seamless access to a wealth of Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination® (CAPE®) and Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate® (CSEC®) resources. From this e-store, local and international publishers will have the opportunity to have their content reviewed, approved and sold.

Benefits to Publishers

BookFusion allows students, teachers and educational institutions to access all eBooks and content needed for learning and examination preparation, from one source. Both local and international partner publishers will now have an increased opportunity to meet the consumers where they are, through utilization of this new customer channel.

To launch the partnership, CXC® is immediately making the collection of 2020 Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment™ (CPEA™) Short Story eBooks accessible for free on the CXC® Learning Hub’s e-store platform. These stories can be accessed for free  at

The CXC®-BookFusion partnership is a powerful combination. CXC’s understanding of complex curriculum development, its vast educational resources, and CXC’s collaborative approach to producing a completely integrated and comprehensive ed-tech solution is uniquely complimentary to how the BookFusion team works. We believe this partnership will help to generate industry leading technology solutions for ministries of education, publishers and most importantly our students and readers. With over 30 partnerships with local, regional and international publishers, most of which develop content in line with CXC®-based curricula and the added benefit of richly interactive content being produced by these publishers, this partnership will allow us to drive far more business for our publishing partners and enable deeply interactive experiences and impact for our students and readers

Dwayne Campbell, BookFusion’s Chief Education Officer.

Dr Wayne Wesley, Registrar and CEO of CXC®, shared his thoughts on the significance of the partnership. “We are pleased by the significantly improved response to the CXC® Learning Hub. It has helped candidates, parents, teachers and employers to gain a better understanding of our syllabuses and individual subjects. At present, there are over 22,000 registrants on the CXC® Learning Hub and the inclusion of BookFusion will further enhance their experience. Within CXC’s Strategic Plan for 2021 – 2025, we outline our goals and activities including a digital transformation of our operations. The provision of eBooks to candidates, especially during the disruption caused by the pandemic, is not only in keeping with our plan but also vital.
